  • Re: Can anyone help me?

Hello, I have a man in San Quentin on parole hold. His regular PO was on vacation for the month, and someone else came in and told him they could not help him with his hearing that he had to plea. Of course he did not take the plea. I have been searching everywhere for people to contact.. At San Quentin...

  • Finding comfort in prison (archive)

Finding Comfort in Prison…inside and out Late night blogging folks, hope you don’t mind… (edited from my original blog) And that brings me to the title, how do you find comfort in prison… and out? This has a few sides to it, because obviously, most of you can’t answer...

  • Will he change after prison (archive blog)

Will He Change After Prison? If I had a dime for every post I have read asking that question, or every comment, thread, email or pm I have read on this subject…well, let’s just say that Bill Gates and Oprah would be asking ME for spare change… Just a joke folks, heck I am still mad...

  • Prison Canteen (archive from my prison blog)

Prison Canteen: who’s it for? This is another retro from one of my older writings, but it talks about something that might not mean a lot to you guys, since you are not in prison. The canteen is a very important thing to inmates, in many different ways. I actually wrote a documentary on that, actually...

  • What's an imate's faith worth? (archive from my prison blogs)

What’s Faith Worth In Prison? It’s just after 10pm as I nurse a headache, may have to take some more Tylenol in an hour or so. I am no stranger to headaches, I remember having them almost weekly when I was in the third or fourth grade, and how much pain it put me through. I was too young...

  • What happens after the visit is over?

Note to those reading, this is one of a few thousand posts I have shared on my blogs, and I hope this might be a little helpful to some of you: What happens AFTER you leave the visit? I KNOW I wrote an article about that somewhere around here, either as a post or on my prison blog. But since I am writing...

  • Uh... don't do that

Don't do WHAT? Don't beat yourself up on these issues. Listen folks, I was reading some of these blogs and posts, and as a guy that has written a few thousand pages on my prison blogs, I understand how hard it can be to deal with life with a loved one in prison. hey, I have been there, so I know...

  • Re: The Hiearchy of Inmate Needs, part one

I understand your point, but my article clearly says this is an adaptation, meaning it was not designed to be word-for-word by Maslow. What I have presented is an adaptation of how inmates or former felons can get their lives back together. Some here might also debate what you may truly consider "normal"...

  • The Hiearchy of Inmate Needs, part one

The Hierarchy of Inmate Needs I wanted to touch on this subject because this could be of a great importance to many of you with loved ones in prison. It may also allow me to blog some personal thoughts too. This subject could very well be something I could have left off the blogs, and wrote a 20 page...

  • Where do the condemned find faith?

Where do the condemned find faith? This is kinda similar to the story I just finished writing, and if you have only read this blog, you might want to jump back 3 blogs and read the 3-part series “Where does faith lie for ex felons”. I realize we are still in the middle of my other series...
