I'm looking for info on the Diagnostics/ Byrd Unit in Huntsville, TX. My father was recently moved there (last week) from the Choice Moore Unit in Bonham, TX. I was supposed to visit him this upcoming Sat, but I don't know if they're allowed visitors when they first arrive. He's told me that sometimes it takes 90 days 4 an inmate to be able to receive visitors. if that is so, then he won't even be there long enough for me to visit because it is a transfer unit so they should be moving him again, and soon. I also cannot find the address to that unit and it hasn't been enough time for him to write me from there.
I am unfamiliar with this site & am having some difficulty learning how to navigate through it.
Can anyone shed some light on this for me? Your help would be very much appreciated.

I responded to your blog, too, but I'll say it again. The best way to get the correct information is the call the facility and ask to speak to whoever's in charge of visitation. They can give your the information you need, although some are more helpful than others. This is the phone number and address I found for it. Good luck!
