Does anyone know what is going on at Coleman?  They have been in lock-down for over a week and we haven't heard from any inmates.

The complex is just telling us that this time (lock-down) is going to be a long one.  If anyone knows what's happening there, please post whatever information you have.

My friend is going to have eye surgery and his family and myself are concerned that we won't find out his condition.

Please, if you know what the problem is in Coleman, please post it.

Thanks

A guard got stabbed while trying to break up a fight. They removed the light fixture covers from cells because they are plexiglass and that was used to make a weapon in this fight. They also removed clothing hooks leaving inmates with 1 hook for their clothing. This lockdown should be over in another week or maybe two..

Coleman is famous for long lockdowns and as I always say, at least they are safer in lockdown than on the yard...You can call Coleman's warden's office and ask questions..352-689-6002. But beware they may refer you to his unit team who will not answer calls in lockdowns I have found...Do not worry, have your inmate friends write to you and explain it to you. That is what my husband does to ease my mind..I am used to these lockdowns but it never gets easy..just lets me relax he is not in harms way when in lockdown at least..
