I have used prisontalk for along time but it seems Fed-X and other admins there ignore the suggestions of their members and now this great community has come along.

I use prisontalk for endless chatter and it helps. For serious reflection I come here. Both have their purpose, both are wonderful. I try to keep in mind that these sites are their babies and they will host millions of people hopefully so it would be detrimental for a owner of a dream to just let any and everybody have a say in how they run their dream.
I understand your postion, however. It's hard when you don't feel heard or appreciated. I pray you get that here!

What I like about prisonplace is that it IS new! I think we can all work to build this into what we wanted Ptalk to be....the admins their seem focused on other things.
I am glad I found this site, but I can't say anything negative about the other sites. Each one should be recognized as a place where help and support is offered. That is ALWAYS a good thing!!
Each site has its good qualities. Each site should be commended for the efforts they put forth. On a personal level I found that I was judged quickly on PT, and soon shut out of several forums and found many of my posts deleated. I find here I am free to express my pain, anger, sorrow, and worry without the judgment that came with it before.
I do still visit to gather information but when i want to put a voice to my words I find myself coming here.
I want to thank everyone here for being real, and I pray good things for each of you......
Im new here too, and so far I like it! Every once in awhile I'll go over to PTO to look for information, but as Ms.Cooper said; I found on there that posts and conversations were being removed and deleted for no appearant reason, and when questiond WHY, no answer...no response...just a threat of being banned. It honestly got to the point I and a few others felt like we were being targeted for no reason at all.
Im sure with help and information and input from people this site will have just as much if not more information as PTO. I myself plan on contributing as much as possible so that it CAN grow and prosper.

This is a great place to come and rest that is for sure. Ad far as it being a more useful place for information lets see. IF we break it down by states and add some more links to resources that would work. All we gotta do is get the word out and it will do great. I do recommend this site to anyone that I know who is dealing with the system.

I too, have to admit I am a member of PT and still go there rarely after finding this site. But they do have a lot of resources. I love this site. And have to say I find more here of what I am looking. I like to know what my husband must be going through. Which, do not get me wrong, if I want to know anything all I have to do is ask. But at the same time when I write him I want to get his thought away from there as much as possible. But anyway, I have to give it to nolaw. He has posted a lot of blogs that are very helpful!! And like Mrscooper said, maybe break it down to states and add resources. Resources meaning job resources that someone may know that do not judge the past of some one who gets out. And more info on how we all can be a help to not only each other here on this site but our loved ones on lock. I am sure if we all got together we could all think of a alot of resources we would like to find and know about!!
