6 hours, yea right. I get there before they open at 8am. Watch the COs get coffee and do-nuts. Then they chat about whatever. Tehn they spend 10 minutes getting their fat asses adjusted in the seats, then...then they are ready to work. By the time they set up the forms, arrange everything and call the bus, it is 9am.
So now, I arrive at the Level One visitation building at 9:10am. Go thru a metal detector, get seated and wait until the CO feels that he has processed enough visitors to make calls for the inmates.
All in all, by the time these lazy clowns do their job and then process in the inmates it is 9:45am. So much for an 8am start time.
They are all bums!!
I can certainly attest to waiting around for the driver to load up the bus and take us to Visitation!
Please remember, that they are doing a job and, just like our jobs, they can be boring:)
20+ years and they are all the same (some worse some better).
The regulations say visiting starts at 8:30am = I am there at 8am
Finally AFTER 9am the line is moving so we can be 'processed' - - Oh, wait, the blouse I wore last week (which was just fine) I cannot wear it this week???
Okay, finally in the VP after the shimmey shimmy shake down - show them they are my boobs - - not contraband!!
Some more waiting in line for the canteen (my baby says it is better than what they get inside), makes me want to puke - I am gluten intolerant - not much for me to eat!!
6 'promised' hours of visiting - we get maybe 4 of those hours!!!!!!!! God Bless'em I did get some time with my baby - I have to remember NOT to put my head next to him because I just want to feel him, have him hold me - CAN'T DO THAT - NO TOUCHING ALLOWED in an open visiting park!!!!!!!!!!!! ARGGHHH
