MISSION: Houses medium through trusty security general population prisoners in support of Correctional Industries and outside details.
HOUSING: Consists of six dormitories in the main building, all with 64 beds each. There are 16 isolation and segregation cells. There are four tents housing 24 boot camp inmates each.
WORK DETAILS: Department of Transportation, Montgomery County and the following Correctional Industries Plants: Upholstery and Silk Screen. The prison also operates an extensive poultry and egg producing plant for the Food and Farm division.
DIRECTIONS: From Atlanta: I-75 South to I-16 East to Highway 29 South. In Soperton take Highway 221 to Mt. Vernon. Continue on Highway 221 by the Mt. Vernon City Cemetery then turn left onto Highway 107. Montgomery SP is one mile on the right.
