Has anyone else had the problem with TAs speaking directly 'demanding' certain actions from civilians visiting inmates at Hendry CI without officers present to regulate and train them? Don't even ask if any of them have had the required 5 hour training class for the VP!!
Or having problems with the 'Chaplain' over marriage arrangements? Because it is just to far away for him to travel, puts a real hardship on him to do his job, Hendry is too far away.
Or how about waiting in line for over an hour just to visit and then the visit is always cut short by 10-15 minutes - 'because it is by the Officer's watch time?'?? AND then waiting another hour in the canteen line just to get nasty food. How about the food in the canteen? Green mold on the sandwich bread; Salad that smells rancid; or the fact that the food served at Hendry is a heartattack waiting to happen.
How about the short period of time the imates have to eat; so short that after a certain point in time the inmates need pills to regulate the acid reflux? Can this be called GERDS experimentation?? What does it take to get this disease?? Forced eating.
How about the DOC not adhereing to the court's orders regarding time served when sentenced?
Shoot I have a list that goes on and on - - the inconsistancies are 'different week, different flavor' - the inmates have to adhere to the rules and regulations -- BUT NOT THE PERSONNEL!!!! This is just so wrong.
How about TAs searching cells by themselves with instructions to set certain inmates up and the supervisor signing off and laughing telling the inmate that 'no believes a stupid inmate' - to the hole with the inmate and the inmate has no recourse - the DOC denies everything!! AND there are witnesses to these statements - BUT the DOC will not hear of it.
How about the inmates setting each other up to get rid of someone so certain working/paying positions can be filled by someone else, and the DOC never really looks into these situations!!
Talk about corrupt...... I was in Corcoran State Prison, CA and saw the same things happen all of the time... it makes me sick to thnk of te things that Correctional Officers do to both inmates ad family members.... and they get away with it....
