I would like to know if anyone has information on whom I would contact to find out information on my ex husband. He is the father of my three chidlren and we have been divorced four years. He is now in Kern Co. recption center, delano. I dont have or wish to have any contact with him, however for the sake of my children I want to know what his situation is , how long he will be in prison, where he will end up. Does anyone know how i can obtain this ? please respon. thank you,

I can think of no way for you to find out his crime, sentence, or release date except from him.  The prison won't give out this information.  If you know his family, you could maybe ask them.  If you know that he was on parole and know which county, you can TRY the parole department, but I honestly don't think anyone will tell you anything since you are not 'related' any longer.

Maybe you can try writing him and see if he will tell you.  Use a PO Box and not your home address, or course.  Good luck.

Another good resource, if he was arrested in LA County, is the sherrifs website, which gives you some information.  It lets you know how many cases are against him, and what the disposition is.  It's  LASD.org

Good Luck

You didn't say if you meant   NKSP   (North Kern Valley State Prison)  or  KVSP   (Kern Valley State Prison).

Click on one of these abbreviations to be directed to the CDC website link.  To locate an offender within the

jurisdiction of the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation you can call the Identification Unit at

(916) 445-6713.  You must provide the full name and the month, day and year of birth or CDC identification

number for the subject of your inquiry.  This unit can only provide you with the current location and CDC identification

number for the offender.  The Identification Unit does not have and will not provide any future release date information.

This service is available only Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. excluding state holidays.

Offenders recently admitted into, or transferred between state prisons may not be available for 7 business days.

If you know which court convicted him, his sentencing conviction is public record.
