I just joined your group and have enjoyed the reading and learning how peoples lives are affected by all of this. I belong to a group that does prison ministry and visit inmates and listen to their problems. I would like to do the same here. It is always nice to reach out and touch someone in need of a listening ear etc. So please do so if you wish. Have a safe and happy holiday season

how does one get involved with prison ministry. I want to get involved. Truthfully I want to help the wives of those that are incarcerated. I think that it is easier for a wife of a inmate to hear from another wife of an inmate and so on.... This is a hard road we walk but it can be walked.

I yhink that is great what you do Gary... When I was in prison it was hard for us to get to the chapel often, but I did read the bible quite a bit.. I will work on adding a forum guided towards Prison Ministry and prayers.....

Most religious orders offer groups that support prison ministry. Go to your local church and ask where and how to get started. A group came to my church and I got involved by asking them questions and joining thier group
Yes, lets start a spiritual section for prayer request and so on... Its important. I have found that my church doesnt really support my marriage, but that is not going to push me away from my faith, it just means I gotta find a new church.... Ive learnd what I could there,, they were awesome for that time in my life and now its time to move on....
There is alot og good churches that support prison ministry.. I beleive there are alot throughout Texas as well. I will e-mail one of them and see if they would like to participate in a forum for prayer request....
