    inmate wife

i am the wife of a texas inmate. if any one here has a husband or boyfriend inside a texas unit, let's get together and chat here. dealing with tdcj is a trying ordeal, and we need to support each other.

Hey Yella,, dont worry sweetie we are all here. I feel you on the nerves and the depression. I think we are all feeling it. My husband file hasnt reached the board yet but the IPO interview was back in OCt.  Hell im not working, let me type it up and deliver it myself.

The holidays are tough for us all but we need to hold on and get through them. If one of us doesnt make it through we have failed as a family.  We need to keep encouraging one another and standing up for one another in prayer.

    Re: inmate wife

We are all indeed going through tough times now it seems, TDCJ taking their time as usual, with no consideration for what the families go through. This is the time of year for family, and we all are missing part of ours. It hurts all of us, especially those of us that have become an extension of each others families through post, to see each other going through the same thing we are going through.

I hope that made sense, I am taking my anxiety pills again, work has cut hours, employees are frustrated and looking for other work. Terry's transfer is probably not going to happen because he is on a "short" sentence....TDCJ's words, not mine, any sentence is never short! My Mom is doing ok, as can be, anyway, but it is dragging me down. And, knowing my son will go through the same thing some day, because we are both only children and don't have the sibling support needed to help out in a crisis of an aging parent. Being a daughter was easy, compared to being a daughter and guardian for your parent. I need to move to E. Texas to be nearer her, but in doing so, it will put even more distance between Terry and myself. I hate to think of that drive. Besides moving is going to require finding another job, one that may not have the benefits I have now, and one that I might not enjoy as much.

Christmas music? I have loved it all my life. I do not do TV, I listen to radio when at home. Now, it tears me apart to hear any Christmas music on the radio.

Sorry, to be venting ladies, but I know that is what we all tell each other, that is what we are here for, to help, to encourage and most of all, just to be there to listen.

Hope you all have a great day.....looks like I am going to have to redo makeup before going to work....LOL!

Aww Jenn I wish I was there to give you a huge hugg....  I know what you mean about the christmas music. I walk around like a zombie, no job, no money coming in period, How do you tell a 7 year old there is no santa?  Anyway, i got the blues too,, I guess its that seaso for us all........  Lets just really pray that we get through this holidays season and tha the next year brings us all one step closer to those damn walls............

    Re: inmate wife

girls i found this today and just had to post it here. you all are the girls in my circle, and i treasure each one of you.

    GIRLS IN MY CIRCLE

WHEN I WAS A LITTLE GIRL, I USED TO BELIEVE IN THE CONCEPT OF ONE BEST FRIEND, AND THEN I STARTED TO BECOME A WOMAN. THEN I FOUND OUT THAT IF YOU ALLOW YOUR HEART TO OPEN UP, GOD WILL SHOW YOU THE BEST IN MANY FRIENDS.

ONE FRIEND IS NEEDED WHEN YOU'RE GOING THROUGH THINGS WITH YOUR MAN.

ANOTHER FRIEND IS NEEDED WHEN YOU'RE GOING THROUGH THINGS WITH YOUR MOM. ANOTHER WILL SIT BESIDE YOU IN THE BLEACHERS AS YOU DELIGHT IN YOUR CHILDREN AND THEIR ACTIVITIES. ANOTHER WHEN YOU WANT TO SHOP, SHARE, HEAL, HURT, JOKE, OR JUST BE. ONE FRIEND WILL SAY "LET'S CRY TOGETHER", ANOTHER "LET'S WALK AWAY TOGETHER."

ONE FRIEND WILL MEET YOUR SPIRITUAL NEED, ANOTHER YOUR SHOE FETISH, ANOTHER YOUR LOVE FOR MOVIES, ANOTHER WILL BE WITH YOU IN YOUR SEASON OF CONFUSION, ANOTHER WILL BE YOUR CLARIFIER, ANOTHER THE WIND BENEATH YOUR WINGS. BUT WHATEVER THEIR ASSIGNMENT IN YOUR LIFE, ON WHATEVER THE OCCASION, ON WHATEVER THE DAY, OR WHEREVER YOU NEED THEM TO MEET YOU WITH THEIR GYM SHOES ON AND THEIR HAIR PULLED BACK, OR TO HOLD YOU BACK FROM MAKING A COMPLETE FOOL OF YOURSELF....

THOSE ARE YOUR BEST FRIENDS. IT MAY ALL BE WRAPPED UP IN ONE WOMAN, BUT FOR MANY IT'S WRAPPED UP IN SEVERAL...ONE FROM 7TH GRADE, ONE FROM HIGH SCHOOL, SEVERAL FROM THE COLLEGE YEARS, A COUPLE FROM OLD JOBS, ON SOME DAYS YOUR MOTHER, ON SOME DAYS YOUR NEIGHBOR, ON OTHERS, YOUR SISTERS, AND ON SOME DAYS YOUR DAUGHTERS. SO WHETHER THEY'VE BEEN YOUR FRIEND FOR 20 MINUTES OR 20 YEARS, TELL THIS TO THE WOMEN IN YOUR LIFE GOD HAS PLACED THERE TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE.

You are so right in all that Vickie, thanks for sharing!

Just wanted to share with y'all the tag I have on all my outgoing emails on my sbc account...thought y'all might like it....don't even remember where I saw the first part...I added the last half of it and believe it to be so true

There's no need to feel you're forgotten--Your angels know you and your needs. And, I know that I have a lot of angels here on earth, they are called friends, acquaintances and family.

    Re: inmate wife

hey girls. not having a good day here. i'm not going to visit this weekend as planned, cause that girl is pulling out on me again. also, found out i won't be assistant manager but just another flunky at my new job. i won't be getting but around 20-30 hours a week either. not nearly enough to live on, pay bills, etc....i'm getting further and further behind on things, and i can't seem to catch up. i've exhausted the job options for this town. just really don't know what to do at this point. i just want to go home. oh wait...i can't cause my car is tore up! and i can't get ahead enough to get the money to fix it. i just can't see an out here.
