Carson Correctional Center ( KCCC ) has a 768 general population
capacity divided into three units with 51 segregation units. Kit Carson
is places emphasis on the search for solutions that simultaneously
satisfies all parties will be our standard desired outcome in any type
of human interaction.Through cooperative, synergistic efforts the staff
will examine, explore, and seek diverse perspectives in an atmosphere
that enables the creation of the “Third Alternative”.
In partnership with the local community and our clients, Kit Carson
Correctional Center will ensure safety and security to the public,
staff and inmates. Together we will provide a high quality of programs
and services to those incarcerated. Kit Carson Correctional Center will
maintain a viable correctional facility through a team-oriented
management philosophy.

Carson Correctional Center was built in 1998 on 30 acres and surrounded
by two miles of 12 foot security fence and approximately 20 miles of
razor wire. KCCC has a 768 general population capacity divided into
three units with 51 segregation units.
