The
Four Mile Correctional Center is a minimum-restrictive security
facility, opened in 1983, and currently houses 499 male inmates with a
line staff of 96 and 18 other staff.
The mission of the Four Mile Correctional Center is to protect the
public through efficient and effective management of offenders.

Before you can visit an offender housed in a DOC facility you must fill out a
Visiting Application.
Programs
FMCC
is a Level II facility in Canon City, Colorado and was originally
opened as a modular unit to support the Correctional Industry Dairy.
FMCC is a work center which requires offenders to maintain employment.
Most programs are available during the evening hours in a voluntary
capacity. Programs available at FMCC include:
- ABE - Adult Basic Education
- Secondary Education or GED
- English as a second language
- College Courses offered through Adams State College
- Vocational Janitorial
- Vocational Culinary Arts
Treatment
FMCC
does have drug and alcohol counseling, life skills, and anger
management classes available as well as mental health treatment.
Offender Services
Food Services:
- Menus are developed by a Registered Dietitian.
- Specialized diets are available to meet medical and religious needs.
- Offenders that work outside the perimeter are served a sack lunch prepared by the FMCC Food Service Department.
- Approximately 1300 meals are served each day.
Recreation:
- Physical
recreation includes a gymnasium with workout area and a basketball
court. An outdoor recreation area, including softball field, and
outdoor fitness equipment is available as well as participation in
facility sporting leagues such as softball, flag football, etc.
History
Four Mile Correctional Center was opened in 1983 with 52 beds.
- Through construction and double bunking the capacity of FMCC is currently 499.
- FMCC achieved its original ACA Acreditation in 2000.
Personnel
Associate Warden
Bobby Allen has 25 years experience in the corrections field in North
Carolina and Colorado. He began his career as a Correctional Officer
and has promoted through the ranks.
Custody Control Manager
Ray Masse has 25 years experience with the Colorado DOC. He began his
career as a Correctional Support Lead Worker in the Food Service
Department.
Physical Plant Manager Dennis
Corbin has 20 years experience with the Colorado DOC. He began his
career as a Correctional Support Lead Worker in the Maintenance
Department.
Programs Manager Patricio Manzanares has 25 years experience with the Colorado DOC. He began his career as a Correctional Officer.
Support Services Manager
Sue Buchanan has 17 years experience with the Colorado DOC. She began
her career as a Correctional Support Lead Worker in the Food Service
Department.
Administrative Services Manager Fran Masse has 23 years experience with the Colorado DOC. She began her career as a Secretary in the Administration Department.
