if I had known then what I know now......

Everyone knows the old saying, "if I had known then what I know now" meaning that we might have done things differently. Well since today is November, It's been a few years since my ex-boyfriend was "taken". It brings me back to when I was a kid and I was head over heels in love  I swore to myself that I would marry him someday!  Had I known as a kid that he would turnout leaving me for prison, I wouldn't have that same good feeling everytime I hear one of his songs because I would not have been in love with him. Know what I'm saying? In this instance, I am grateful that I didn't know then what I know now.

    What about y'all?

You know I'm 46, and I am watching people getting sick all around me. Many of them young like you. Last month if you would have asked me that question, I would have said a resounding "hell no!"

I think I hear you saying it is truly better to have loved and felt loved than not at all.

Years ago, my then 7 year old son, told me happiness is like every other emotion. It comes and goes. That young man may have prepared/educated you for the man that is to come that will love you the way you want and need to be loved and you will know the difference, and be happy for the lessons that prepared you. Then you will hear and sing a new song. Eventually you will be able to put the pieces of the puzzle together and see the whole picture, and feel like dancing.

For me, some experiences I could have done without. But sometimes I analyze things too much. I am going to go for quality this time around, enjoy the journey and not worry about the destination. I like your attitude, it cuts down on regrets. Happy memories make a happy person. Your attitude is wise! Thanks:) So yes! I agree.

Big Smile Yes!! Without hesitation, I would do exactly the same thing as far as my relationship with Rob is concerned!! I am not going to say there haven't been times when the situation I found myself in ,not being able to live my day to day life with him right now, hasn't frustrated me...but I wouldn't have missed having him in my life for anything in this world!!

Life gives us challenges daily, and those challenges strengthen who we are.  i mean really, I never thought I would be able to deal with what Im dealing with now but this experience has taught me many things,.  one to trust God... to understand that things happen for a reason and all reasons are designed by God.

I wouldnt give up what i have now for anything and im glad I didnt have a chance to take a glimpse into my life and decide if i wanted to go through what i am going through, the pain and the fear would have kept me from it, and then i wouldnt have my husband.  So no, Im glad i am here, goin through this experience cuz it drew me closer to God and my husband.  The enemy doesnt get this one,.  God does,,,,,,,  No weapon formed against me or my husband can shake our faith,,,,,,
