    Hey,

My brother is an inmate at the SCC.  I was wondering how I would put money on his books or send him a care pack or something.  If anyone could help me I'd be very thankful.

Hi you can send him money via www.jpay.com just register and make sure you have his information so you can locate him. You will also be able to send him a package from there orr you can go to this website and see the other vendors available

    http://www.cdcr.ca.gov/Visitors

and on the right hand side you will see the information for inmate packages (copy & paste the link if clicking on it doesnt work)

    Hope this helps, Good luck

Hi, my name is Susan. My son was just transfered to Jamestown 2 weeks ago from Corcoran State Prison.

I plan to go see him this weekend. Traveling from the Santa Cruz area is this place easy to find? Also, if a visitor has been cleared to visit one Prison in Calif., is that clearance good for all Calif. State Prisons? Visiting hours, Restrictions??

SCC inmates do work onthe LA fires. Usually, the fire camps located nearest to the fire get called in . But depending on the size and manpower of the fire, they can also go to fires all over California. Hope this helps.

My boyfriend just transfered to Jamestown or Sierra Conservation Center, I'm from the Los Angeles area and mapquest the prison, It takes about 5 hours to get there. My mother was tlling me about this organization called "FRIENDS ON THE OUTSIDE", can anyone give me a little bit more info about this, I also thought about taking the Greyhound but was once again i was told that there are women who get together and carpool to the prison, this is my first time visiting a state prison and if anyone has any info at all it would be greatly appreciated thank you.
