WORK, EDUCATION, AND TREATMENT PROGRAMS
Work Programs:
Inmate work programs provide
meaningful job assignments for inmates and promote responsibility and
accountability. Inmates assigned to the work program receive wages
through the Work Incentive Pay Plan (WIPP) which help support their
needs while incarcerated.
Treatment Programs:
The substance abuse program at ASP
Central Arizona Correctional Facility is an educational program that all
inmates are afforded the opportunity to participate. Alcoholics Anonymous (AA), Narcotics Anonymous (NA) and
other self-help groups are led by outside facilitators and available to
inmates.
Religious
Activities
Religious activities are
provided with the help of religious volunteers including the following
faith groups; Catholic, Non-Denominational, Pentecostal, Muslim, Native
American, Jehovah's Witness, LDS (Mormon) and others. Prison Fellowship
Christian studies and seminars in English and Spanish are offered.
Recreational
Activities:
Physical activities organized
and supervised by Recreational and Security Staff include basketball,
volleyball, ping-pong, and various track and field events. Indoor
recreational activities include games of checkers, dominoes, chess,
pinochle and Monopoly. Individual in-house hobby craft activities
include a variety of arts and crafts.
Visitation:
ASP-Central Arizona Correctional Facility:
Saturday
and Sunday: AM session 0730-1030 / PM session 1200-1500 to be conducted
by pods A,B,C,D alternating days and sessions each week.

Visits: Approved by the Warden, request must be submitted within 15 days
of the date of request.
