Will your loved ones have to schedule their calls or are they limited on how many calls they can make?
Not if they are in general population and in the lowest security level. Those who are in higher security levels are limited to a set number of calls and must sign up for calls at least one day in advance.
Additional Info:
In general population at the regular prisons, calls can only be made
during "block-out", for a total of 15 minutes per day. Special programs
like Boot Camp and the Young Adult Offender Program have different
phone rules.
In the Minimum Security County Detention Center, they are allowed one free, local call for 10 minutes per day and then allowed 15 minute collect calls to all other numbers.
