How much will the calls cost?
Unfortunately, the costs vary from state to state and case to case, depending on how near or far you are from the prison. The price can range anywhere from $.86 to $20 for a 15 minute phone call. Of course, in-state calls are significantly lower than state-to-state calls.
If you need to know or would like to know the cost of the call, if you listen to all of the options at the beginning of a call, there is the option to get a quote on the price. Also, you can contact the provider for the prison, most commonly MCI (800.231.0931) or CBS (800.844.6591), and they can tell you what the cost is or will be. If the phones from the prison are provided by another service, they should be able to give you a quote if you call and request it as well.
