My sons father passed away in prison on October 4th 2007. His death has brought much pain and sorrow to my son and myself. To add more pain to our sorrow, we still don't know what happend to him. The prison will not give us any information all they say is that we have to wait because it's still under investigation. What are we his loved ones to do when we can't even get any answers in regards to him. We have so many questions and really no one to turn to. We didn't even find out about his death until the 22nd of October when a letter I sent him came back to me with his name crossed out in black marker with the word DECEASED on top. I was and am in such disbelif - It's so cuel to be notified in such way. When I received that letter I immediatley contacted the prison but no one would confirm or deny his death. I had to leave several messages for the PIO to contact me and it took several days for him to get back to me. By that time I had already contacted the corners office which confirmed he was there and were waitting for someone to claim his body. Luckly we were still able to claim his body and make proper funeral arrangements....... tbc
First I want to thank you all for your prayers and comments. My sons father passed away in North Kern Valley State Prison. I'm still waitting for the corners report for the cause of death. I have been in contact with the PIO regarding his property but will continue to further investigate this matter.
