The ONLY thing he can do is walk in with his head u and take what's given him...I ay this because we,paroleess, are treated for our past...Period!If you mess up allthe time and flip that face to someone the board should listen  you've screwed up...Being married doesn't hurt...And i's a great way to keep your relatioship on a good page...

There is a great deal you can do. You can join the NYS Coalition for Parole Restoration and get their handbook which advises such things as "never answer a yes or no question with just a yes or no"-you can sit in the visiting room and practice what the parole commissioners might ask him--let him practice his answers. Have you done a parole package? Is he in a prison with video parole hearings or in-person? It matters--he needs to get comfortable with both venues.

We are seeing some breaks in the 2 year hits for nature of the instant offense-type stuff. There is a lawsuit (not sure if it has become a class action yet but it is headed that way) challenging the NYS Division of Parole for all the 2 year hits for "nature of the crime".  I can prob. tell you a lot more.
